Walking from Estació de França to Carrer de Freixures
From the station, cross towards El Born and head inland through its narrow streets. Passing near the Passeig del Born and Santa Maria del Mar, keep going north towards Santa Caterina market; Carrer de Freixures is a few streets away from it. Allow roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on your pace and route.

From Port Vell and the waterfront
Port Vell is Barcelona’s old harbour, largely transformed for the 1992 Olympic Games into a waterfront of promenades, marinas and the Maremagnum area. From the Columbus monument, at the bottom of La Rambla, you can walk along the Moll de la Fusta and then cut inland through the Gothic Quarter or El Born. The walk to Carrer de Freixures takes around 20 minutes.
If you arrive on a cruise ship, the terminals are usually connected to the Columbus monument area by a shuttle bus; from there the walk is the same. Walking times are approximate: check the route on a live map before setting off.
